DisContinuities in the Experience of "Life Under Siege" and "Violent Sociability" (article)
Por equipe do Dicionário de Favelas Marielle Franco
The paper proposes to revisit the notions of “life under siege” and “violent sociability” based on ethnographic research conducted in the last decade. The article analyzes the transformations that the inauguration of Pacification Police Unit Program generated in the daily life of Rio’s favelas and in the so-called “world of crime”. In addition, it aims to understand the current moment by investigating the effects of the “crisis” in the UPPs and the “legacy” of “pacification”.
